Friends of the Cabins.
Was looking for an easy escape from Nashville to finish some tunes and cool off in the river. What I found was the perfect little getaway—a wonderful mix of peace, quiet and inspiration. Maybe I’ll just call the next record “Buffalo River” and be done with it.
There are so many great spots to sit and write between the barn and the lodge, whether you need your feet planted on the ground or tucked under you on one of the massive swings. WiFi worked perfectly, but I barely opened the internet! Instead, when I needed a break, watching the river from the reading nook was the perfect tonic. I came with a project to work on and left inspired with ideas for the future. Can’t wait to go back!
Couldn’t ask for a better place to escape and write. I started every morning with a swim, made my coffee and worked on the deck all afternoon. A small group joined me over the weekend and it made for a perfect retreat space too. We floated the river, enjoyed several glorious dinners on the screened-in porch and spread out to read and lounge. Both cabins were well equipped with everything we needed. I can’t wait to plan a trip in cooler weather so I can cozy up and write by the woodstove.

I absolutely adored this place ! Its like your own lil cave !! So peaceful ..the tree in the front has 50 butterflies on it in the evenings !!!..just so serene.. would definitely go back here !

Awesome little getaway right on top of the Buffalo River. The full walls of windows make it feel like you’re just up in the trees hanging out rather than just sitting on the couch. I also loved the grill on back patio deck perched up above the river. We had a great time here.

The perfect weekend getaway! The home is more spacious than expected. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. Everything is well maintained and very clean. Such fun decor with an eclectic but homey feel. Dollar General is only a mile away. I highly recommend The Log Cabin Restaurant which is only 15 minutes away.
We enjoyed this quirky cabin on the river. The stars were beautiful from the back porch! My husband and I would love to return. Thanks!
